Covercraft Custom Fit MM Series Front Mask is designed to protect the leading edge of the hood and any painted areas around the grille. The protective air intake screen is an integral part of the mask,which is sewn on the exterior to ensure that there is no loose piece of material inside to abrade the paint surface. The covered aluminum tabs allows the adjustment at the fender wells as vinyl expands as well as contracts due to temperature. This mask is crafted using a micro-perforated finish on the vinyl that allows the mask to breathe and permit vapor to evaporate when the vehicle is driven in wet weather. It features a heavy-gauge leather grain vinyl which has a soft, protective backing that safeguards the paint surface of the vehicle. Not a custom fit, but properly covers the "greenhouse" area, held on by elastic pockets slipped over the mirrors, a flap held down by the windshield wipers, and pull-ties going to the trunk. Much more compact folded-up package (in the integral holding bag) than a full cover, takes-up a lot less space in the limited trunk of a convertible. I'll seldom use my full cover anymore.

The quality is till there, but I will agree that the palm control ratches from SK can "feel" a little sloppy. You can tighten them up with an hex wrench and they will preform very well. What you are feeling is the washer on top for you palm has a little slop in it so that it will spin freely. With a little mechanical knowledge you will understand why. I would recomend for hard use, to change the ratchet handle to one of their Tuff 1 rachet handles.
