Replaces stock shackles with our heavy duty units that feature 1/4 in. thick steel side plates, Energy Suspension "Tough 88" fluted urethane bushings, and heavy duty grade 8 bolts that feature zerk fittings on their heads for greasing of the bushings. I bought these shackles for my 1979 Jeep CJ7 as part of the replacement of the original leaf springs. This product seems to be well made and went together perfectly. It did give the vehicle an additional 2 inches of lift; not sure if this was solely because the shackle length is a bit longer than the original shackles or if because of the old leaf springs were sagging that much. I would say a little bit of both. I did not intend to lift the Jeep so I will have to see how this plays out when I replace the front leaf springs and Currie front shackles.
