I put one of these on my van a year ago. It has worked fine, but as I was changing the oil the other day I noticed that the rubber covering over a large copper wire (I think that connects the solenoid to the starter) had cracked open and the bare wire was visible. I used liquid electrical tape to seal and encapsulate it, but I shouldn't have had to do this after just one year.
