Emitting a light that is �3 times brighter than ordinary halogen bulbs, HID lights greatly assist the driver in providing a clearer and expanded view of what is ahead. I've had these lights for about 2 years now, and for $86 there's a lot of value in this product. The packaging is pretty interesting-- cheap but fancy. It comes in the case that looks really cool but you might not use it for anything. And the packaging is pretty nice. The instructions are vague and, after setting everything up in about 45 minutes, I spent an additional hour because I couldn't get them to work. I finally had this "ahah! That was dumb..." Moment when I realized the trick was I had the +/- plugged in the wrong side. As for the product, they give off a clear white light, similar to white paper and are very bright. Very. bright. I've been behind people and sometimes I feel bad. In addition, the light pattern is similar to a shotgun shell out of a gun. In new cars you might get that nice cut-off at the top, but not on these, they are aimed pretty high. (I could be completely wrong and the cut off could be from the design of the car.) But I do think I am correct when I say there is some distortion in the light beam pattern and it definitely isn't anything high quality. The "Hi" is that yellow light you expect and is actually a little less bright than the "Lo" 6000k light. But, for cheap HID's, they function very well and you get a lot of bang for your buck. I used to have halogen bulbs in my car and these fit in just fine-- they came with the necessary adapter. Would I get them again? Probably not because I could save a lot of money and get light bulbs that work just fine. But for someone dying to make their car look cooler, this might be a good option.
